Avianca Airbus A330-200

El Airbus A330-200 de Avianca, Avianca es la aerolinea bandera de Colombia desde su creacion el 5 de diciembre de 1919 bajo el nombre de SCADTA. Su sede se encuentra en Bogota con su centro de operaciones en la Terminal 2 del Aeropuerto Internacional El Dorado. Avianca se destaca por ser la aerolinea mas grande de Colombia y una de las mayores en Latinoamerica. Avianca y sus filiales poseen la red mas extensa de destinos en las Americas y una de las mas modernas flotas en el continente. Actualmente es controlada por AviancaTaca Holding S.A.

The Avianca Airbus A330-200, Avianca is the flag carrier airline of Colombia since December 5, 1919 when it was initially registered under the name SCADTA. It is headquartered in Bogota, D.C. with its hub at the El Dorado International Airport. Avianca is the largest airline in Colombia and a major one in Latin America. Avianca together with its subsidiaries has the most extended network of destinations in the Americas and one of the largest and most modern aircraft fleet in the continent. It is wholly owned by AviancaTaca Holding S.A.

Avianca se fusionaria con TACA pero mantendran sus marcas y operaciones de manera separada por los momentos. En 2009 Avianca se convirtio 90 años despues en la segunda antigua aerolinea operativa a nivel mundial despues de la aerolinea holandesa KLM. El 21 de junio de 2012 tanto Avianca como TACA fueron aceptadas como miembros oficiales de la alianza de aerolineas Star Alliance despues de un proceso que duro 18 meses desde el anuncio inicial de ambas aerolineas sobre su interes en unirse a la alianza.

Avianca would merge with TACA but both airlines have stated that each will maintain their own identity and operate separately for the moment. In 2009 Avianca turned 90 years making it the second world's oldest airline still in operation after the dutch carrier KLM. On June 21, 2012, Avianca and TACA were accepted as official members of Star Alliance after a process that lasted for around 18 months since their initial announcement of being interested in joining the Alliance.
